Has your knee replacement failed many times? A knee arthrodesis in India is the final operation to give a stable but stiff  knee. I perform this procedure for failed infected knee replacements. These are becomingly increasingly common with the rise in number of failed knee replacements.

The indications for an arthrodesis are

  • Failed knee replacement,
  • Tumours involving the articular ends,
  • Infections with severe chondral loss.
  • Loss of extensor apparatus
  • Hemophilic knee
  • Neuropathic knee

Knee arthrodesis is done with intra medullary rods or external fixators.
